Two Day One Night
Two Day One Night Itinerary
From Mercer County History, Scenic Countryside, to World's largest shops this tour has something for everyone.

day one
  • Morning
Start your day at Wendell August Forge and watch skilled craftsmen create one-of-a-kind metal giftware. Wendell August Forge is the oldest and largest continuous operating forge of its kind in the country. Next, see America’s only animated wood carving depicting a typical Slovakian Village at Slovak Folk Crafts. Browse America’s largest selection of crystal, ceramics, decorated eggs, carvings and more – all handmade in Slovakia.
  • Lunch Legacy Banquet & Conference Center where you can choose from several different entrées and deserts all inclusive.
  • Afternoon
After lunch a short drive away is the County Seat with its beautifully restored Mercer County Courthouse and charming neighboring Victorian Square Village. Pull up a stool at the Mercer Mercantile and Soda Shoppe for an old-fashioned soda. Marvel at the 1880s original tin ceiling and marble countertop. Also on the Square is the Mercer County Historical Society Museum where a guided tour awaits your group with loads of interesting facts about Mercer County.
  • In Greenville, observe the Greenville Railroad Park and Museum featuring the World’s largest switch steam engine on display along with the prototype of the World’s first parachute invented in Greenville. As your Motorcoach heads north a sight awaits you at Pymatuning State Park, Pennsylvania’s largest man-made lake. A remarkable wild-life nature display can be found, at the Linesville Spillway, where thousands of carp migrate to the bank of the lake to feast on bread thrown into the water by visitors.
  • Dinner/Evening
Relive the “Golden Days” of grace, grandeur and the romance of the antebellum South as it lives on at Tara, A Country Inn. Following your tour of this world-class inn showcasing one of the World’s largest collections of Remington Bronze Statues, sit down to Southern cooking served family-style complete with homemade desserts.
  • Overnight Choose from a wide array of group-friendly Accommodations.
