MCCULLOUGH’S COOLSPRING CORN MAZE AND FARM MARKET HOSTS ANNUAL FALL CORN MAZE
Discover the Mercer County Autumn Experience
MERCER COUNTY, Pa. – October, 2010 – As the cool and crisp air of autumn moves into the region, visitors to Mercer County can enjoy a festive fall foliage experience that they will never forget at McCullough’s Coolspring Farm Market’s annual fall corn maze from now until October 31.
This year, the ten-acre maze is themed “Gold Rush” and features a trip back in time to the days of prospecting in an old mining town. New this year is the gem stone mining area where visitors have the opportunity to hand-pan for treasure. Guests can also enjoy the indoor hay maze, pedal tractor races, pony rides and tethered hot air balloon rides. There will also be a live DJ with karaoke and guitar hero contests. The food menu has been expanded this year, featuring 1/3 pound Angus burgers.
Also on site is the historic schoolhouse, which was built in 1884, where seasonal decorations and unique antiques are available for purchase.
Admission is $7.95. Children two-years-old and younger are free. Group rates and special hours are offered for 20 or more people. Located on 537 Franklin Rd. (US Rt. 62) in Mercer, the hours of operation are Fridays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors to the maze during the evening hours are recommended to bring a flashlight.
