OLDE TOWN GROVE CITY HOSTS 20TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA

--Travel to Mercer County’s North Pole on December 6 and Experience the Joy of the Holiday--

Grove City, Pa.- November 18, 2008-  As Pennsylvania’s cold weather announces the arrival of the holiday season, there is no better time to gather the family and head to Mercer County for the Olde Town Grove City 20th Annual Christmas Extravaganza on December 6. The yearly event began as an open house for store customers in 1988 and has evolved into a community celebration for Grove City and beyond.

“Each year, the Olde Town Grove City Christmas Extravaganza increases in popularity,” said Lisa Pritchard, Olde Town Grove City Manager and VisitMercerCountyPA board member. “Last year, we had record crowd numbers and can only hope to see more people share this holiday festival with their family.”

The Olde Town Grove City Christmas Extravaganza will span over three blocks and is known for its magical Christmas parades and hospitable merchants’ open house. Other family-friendly activities include a morning movie at Guthrie Theatre, musical entertainment, crafts and cookies with Santa, face painting, Amish donuts, Christmas Carolers and hayrides around the festively decorated downtown.

The holiday event is free of charge and will take place from 1-5 p.m. Olde Town Grove City  is located in the heart of Grove City, just five miles away from Prime Outlets mall at the crossroads of I-79 and I-80. Follow Route 208 East to arrive at the center of Olde Town.
