MERCER COUNTY’S BUHL FARM PARK TO SHOWCASE LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
--Visitors will Enjoy Free Concerts and Live Performances at a State-of-the-Art Amphitheatre this August--
PITTSBURGH, PA --July 30, 2010-- Live music and community entertainment have been a staple tradition at Buhl Farm Park, located in Hermitage, Pa. for many years. This August, visitors to the park can expect even more free concerts and live performances in the state-of-the-art amphitheater.
Upcoming August performances include:
- August 1 at 7 p.m.: Cinderella, performed by Abbey Alter’s Arts in the Park
- August 4 at 6:30 p.m.: The Youngstown Community Band playing popular classics and everyday hits. Show sponsored by the Shenango Valley Performing Arts Council
- August 8 at 6 p.m.: The Wrangler Band will play high energy-country rock, sponsored by HHSDR Architects/Engineers
- August 11 at 6 p.m.: The Sensations and a movie under the stars sponsored by the Greenville Savings Bank and the Joy Cone Company. Movie starts at 8:15 p.m.
- Aug. 15 at 6 p.m.: The Pipe Dreams, a local ’60s era band sponsored by the Mercer County Federal Credit Union
- Aug. 23 at 6 p.m.: Allegheny Drifters, play the best of bluegrass and pure harmonies
For almost 50 years, residents and visitors alike have enjoyed free outdoor summer concerts. In 1981 a state-of-the-art performing arts center was built to replace the old band shell and today the amphitheatre is one of the premier outdoor venues in the area. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic basket, beverages and a chair or blanket while they enjoy the shows in the outdoor amphitheatre.
