CHASE AWAY YOUR WINTER BLUES IN MERCER COUNTY THIS FEBRUARY
--VisitMercerCountyPA Hosts Frosty-Fun Activities for the Whole Family to Enjoy--
PITTSBURGH, PA.-- Feb. 1, 2010-- Has the blistering cold weather given you the winter blues? Visitors to Mercer County can have frosty-fun as they enjoy the remainder of the season with activities suitable for the whole family.
Winter Fun Days 2010 takes place on Feb. 6 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pymatuning State Park in Jamestown, Pa. Guests will have the opportunity to go snowmobiling, ice skating, sledding and ice boating. Food and entertainment will be available including games and contests. The event is free of charge and will be held with or without snow in the Jamestown Marina Area.
On February 13-14, Mercer County will host the 24th Annual Penn’s Woods West Folk & Art Festival & Business Expo. Visitors to the expo will enjoy home cooked food and baked goods as they walk around to see various works of art from artisans and craftsmen from several states. There will also be a quilt and train show and other entertainment. The business expo will showcase talent from the Mercer area. Admission is $4 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. Located at Mercer High School, 545 West Butler Street, the event will take place both days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Grove City Trade Show hosts more than 130 area businesses as they showcase various company displays, giveaways and door prizes. The expo will take place at the Grove City College Physical Learning Center on Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Admission is $1.
