VISITORS TO MERCER COUNTY TO CELEBRATE EASTER WITH SWEET TREATS AND CANDY FACTORY TOURS
Welcome Spring with Family-Fun Activities in Hermitage, Pennsylvania
MERCER COUNTY, Pa. – April 1, 2011 – Spring is here and visitors to Mercer County can expect free sweet treats and Easter activities for the whole family to enjoy in April at Philadelphia Candies, Daffin’s Candies Factory and Kraynak’s Easter Bunnylane.
Philadelphia Candies will host an Easter Factory tour on April 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. As chocolate is being made and decorated, guests can walk through the factory and experience the sweet delights of the candy-making process. Available to visitors will be samples, advertised specials, raffle drawings and costumed characters. Daffins’ Candies Factory annual Swizzle Stick Day is on April 10 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy free chocolate samples and bunny ears. Tour the factory and see how chocolate is made. View the family of solid chocolate rabbits and be amazed at the 700 pound chocolate bunny! Daffin’s Candies Factory is located at 7 Spearman Avenue, Farrell, Pa. Kraynak’s Easter Bunnylane has become a family tradition and will feature an amazing indoor 300-foot Easter display with brightly colored trees and blossoms, seasonal music, animated Easter characters and plenty of other beautiful spring-themed decorations. Admission is free and the display is open daily from now until April 25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can also make their way to the 16,000 square-foot candy department to purchase Easter Basket supplies.
