VisitMercerCountyPA Announces 2008 Photo Contest Winners

VisitMercerCountyPA (Executive Director, Peggy Mazyck) is pleased to announce the winners of the agency’s 2008 Photo Contest.  This is the third year for this contest and the agency was impressed with the quality and diversity of the photos entered.  The 2008 winners, which can be seen here, submitted photos that were creative and action packed.   

First Place went to Bruce Ellis for his picture “Up, Up and Away” which depicts an action shot of a person water skiing on a shortboard at Lake Latonka.  Shirley Seymour won second place for her photo, “Catching That Big One”, depicting a scenic shot of a fisherman on Lake Wilhelm”.   Third place went to Bruce Ellis for “Who’s Walking Who” featuring a beautiful shot of an individual walking a dog along the Lake Wilhelm Scenic Byway.

Honorable mentions were received by Dave Hoye for his  photo “A Ray of Hope” and Mark Brown for his photo “Rainbow at Mercer County Courthouse”.
